There are many things i have learnt during this process such
Memory/USB sticks, i have learnt of the importance of of saving and backing up my work in several place on different file types, such as .jpeg (an image file) and .psd (photoshop document). i learnt this because i lost several copies and documents because i used several different computers, my memory stick was useful for stransferring data from one computer to another but was not safe as a backup alone because seeral time i had almost lost it, therefore i backed my work up on a desktop computer aswell.

I learnt a lot about this program as i progressed through the project such as arranging layers through dragging and dropping this was useful when making it look like the pug was a real sticker on the magazine

And using the magic wand to cut around things much faster and closer, this is how I cut out the masthead, otherwise it is very likely that it would take far longer and would be far less accurate, this tool however it not very reliable as it only works best against a block background.

This is the magnetic lasso, it also proved a very important tool in the production of my magazine as it was used to cut out and trim all of my images that I included, it is much more reliable than the magic wand tool as it can be controlled by the mouse and any mistakes made whilst tracing the image could be rectified.
Another technology I used was a digital camera, this was used for nearly every image took, I had to adjust apature, shutter speed and lighting in order to get the shots I needed, especially when I had to take shots in the dark for the M-18 band. This project helped me further my use and skill with cameras and taking pictures,
This project also helped me learn how to use an apple mac as it is different to a microsoft desktop computer as it is slightly more difficult, instead of right clicking to save images, the ctrl button must be held down when the mouse is clicked and few other minor difficulties occured because I am not used to using an apple mac, I overcame this problem by using it more and more until I got used to it, the majority of my work was done on these computers as i did not own a laptop or computer at home during this project.
